Creative Connections

This class is part funded working with BEEE Creative promoting community Dance and specifically dance for those with neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease, MS, Dementia, etc. Kezia attended the Dance for Parkinson’s course at De Montfort University in 2016 with David Leventhal from the Mark Morris Dance Company and founder of Dance for Parkinson’s, and since then has worked with Parkinson’s UK and Bedfordshire Carers delivering classes.

The classes are chair based and use dance movement and music to help with balance, strength and flexibility as well as providing vital community connections with others in similar situations which can help with mental health issues like depression and anxiety as well help avoid isolation and loneliness. This class includes coffee and chatting at the end too which is great for getting to know people and make new friends too.
